In this study, secondary school students according to gender variable was to investigate recreational preferences. In this study 105 women and 48 men enrolled at Tarsus Ayhan Bozpınar Anatolian high school Research a total of 153 secondary school students who participated. Students have the choice of free time activity in the determination of Tel (2007) were used in the survey was developed by leisure. Statical analysis of the results was accomplished using frequency and chi-square analysis with SPSS 15.0 program. At the end of the study, the students most frequently in their preferred leisure-time activities listening to music or playing a musical instrument, spending time with family, chatting with friends, leisurely activities and hobbies to spend time on the internet deal with and it was determined that came. Students at a low level to their preferred leisure-time activities for the rest of the cinema or Theatre, go to the bazaar and Sunday sightseeing, shopping, going to visit neighbors or relatives, it was determined that activities such as it came. Female students who participated in the research also viewing TV and video, books, newspapers and magazines (p<0.05), male students more often preferred leisure activities such as reading, sport and sport competitions, monitoring, participation in social and cultural activities, go to the cafeteria or the coffee shop, a bar, a casino and activities such as going on a hunt or go to the pub when compared with female students, male students more often it has been found that it is preferred (p<0.05).
