Effects of gravitational and electromagnetic fields on a space-time are each separately formulated and mathematically explained using tensors. In general relativity theory, the effect of gravitational field on a space-time has been explained by Albert Einstein using Ricci tensor while electromagnetic tensor satisfying Maxwell's equations explains the effect of electromagnetic field on a space-time. As both gravitational and electromagnetic fields co-exist and affect the space-time simultaneously, two second rank tensors should be used to simultaneously formulate both of their effects on a space-time in a unified field equation. To achieve such a goal, a five-dimensional space-time is proposed.
