Novel Physical Consequences of the Extended Relativity in Clifford Spaces

Authors: Carlos Castro
Comments: 17 Pages. Submitted to Advances in Applied Clifford Algebras

Novel physical consequences of the Extended Relativity Theory in $C$-spaces (Clifford spaces) are explored. The latter theory provides a very different physical explanation of the phenomenon of ``relativity of locality" than the one described by the Doubly Special Relativity (DSR) framework. Furthermore, an elegant $nonlinear$ momentum-addition law is derived in order to tackle the ``soccer-ball'' problem in DSR. Neither derivation in $C$-spaces requires a $curved$ momentum space nor a deformation of the Lorentz algebra. While the constant (energy-independent) speed of photon propagation is always compatible with the generalized photon dispersion relations in $C$-spaces, another important consequence is that these generalized photon dispersion relations allow also for energy-dependent speeds of propagation while still $retaining$ the Lorentz symmetry in ordinary spacetimes, while breaking the $extended$ Lorentz symmetry in $C$-spaces. This does $not$ occur in DSR nor in other approaches, like the presence of quantum spacetime foam. We conclude with some comments on the quantization program and the key role that quantum Clifford-Hopf algebras might have in the future developments since the latter $q$-Clifford algebras naturally contain the $ \kappa$-deformed Poincare algebras which are essential ingredients in the formulation of DSR.

What is Measurement? Why Does Measurement Exist?

Authors: David Brown

Are there 3 dimensions of space because there are 3 generations of fermions? Are the Leech lattice, the monster group, and the 6 pariah groups nature’s most fundamental mathematical structures? Is string theory the only plausible way to understand the foundations of physics? Assume that ultimate reality is adequately described by one of two alternatives: string theory with the infinite nature hypothesis or string theory with the finite nature hypothesis. Do the Leech lattice, the monster group, and the 6 pariah groups enable M-theory to have a computational method? Do superpartners occur in nature if and only if nature is infinite? What is dark matter? What is the explanation for the space roar? What is measurement and why does it exist? Measurement might be a natural process that separates the boundary of the multiverse from the interior of the multiverse. Measurement might exist because there is a 26-dimensional bosonic string theory. String theory with the finite nature hypothesis might suggest 3 decisive empirical tests; if any 1 of the 3 tests is falsified the finite nature hypothesis is likely to be wrong or irrelevant to testable physics. This communication offers a somewhat vague approach to developing a computational method for M-theory. The string landscape and the curling up of extra spatial dimensions might be the results of string theory with the infinite nature hypothesis and with thinking about strings as measurable physical entities. Three decisive empirical tests and the building up of approximations to quantum information might be the results of string theory with the finite nature hypothesis and with thinking about strings as deterministic machines that transfer information.

Can Gravitation be Expressed as Information?

Authors: Victor Christianto
Comments: 11 Pages. This file is uploaded here to stimulate further investigation. It is not yet submitted to any journal.

Erik Verlinde has proposed in 2010 that gravitation is related to entropy. He managed to derive Newton law from this assumption. His paper attracts many new papers around similar idea, for example there is proposal of entropic dark energy by Smoot et al. But deep behind the new entropic gravity approach, there is a question about whether gravitation can be expressed as information. This article is a summary of discussion about this question in researchgate.net. It is put here to stimulate further discussion. It is not yet conclusive.

Natural Length Scale from Cosmological Holographic Principle Matches Proton

Authors: Simon WW Manley

A natural unit of length, determined by applying the Holographic Principle to the Hubble sphere, matches the diameter of the proton, the smallest relevant size in nature. Unlike traditional Large Numbers coincidences, which are accurate only to order of magnitude, this agreement is precise.

From Microcosm to Macrocosm: the Structure of the Physical World at a Glance

Authors: Jose P Koshy
Comments: 4 Pages. The seventh paper based on Reality

It is proposed that the physical world is infinite in space, and contains a finite number of universes - may be ‘just a few’ or ‘billions’ because the limit is arbitrary; in its entirety, we can call it ‘the Ensemble’ because it is not a ‘system of universes’. Each universe is a system made up of fundamental particles moving at speed ‘c’. How these particles integrate into a universe, and what intermediate structures the universe has, are explained in this paper, using classical concepts.

Shaping the Future of Physics with the Amplituhedron

Authors: Rodney Bartlett

Nima Arkani-Hamed's amplituhedron is a multidimensional, geometric shape that dramatically simplifies calculations of particle interactions and challenges the notion that space and time are fundamental components of reality. In my opinion, it relates to the 5th dimension, dark matter, string theory (digitized) and renormalization. These relations can be deduced via a 1919 paper by Einstein concerning gravity’s role in the constitution of elementary particles, plus the hidden variables of quantum mechanics echoing string theory and assuming a digital nature. The result is a repulsive gravity usually labelled dark energy.

A Treatise on Spacetime and Matter Duality

Authors: Gary Heen

Currently there are multiple theories on the nature of the universe. The model put forth in this paper attempts at subsuming some of these theories into one encompassing model. In this model, spacetime is not a mathematical abstraction but has a basis in physical reality based on matter and spacetime being convertible states of the same quantum particle. This quantum particle is composed of D-branes and Type I strings and is termed the B-string, for brane string complex.

6 Mini Epics Regarding the Shape of the Universe, Einstein’s Unified Field, Gravitation that Attracts and Repels, Evolution and Synthetic Biology, Travel That’s Unlimited in Space or Time, Plus 3-D Printers Ending the GFC

Authors: Rodney Bartlett

I originally wrote this as my entries in ScriptMedical’s contest (http://www.scriptmedical.com/#/award/1). The entries follow their rule of being exactly 100 words long (excluding the title). Then the entry requirement of having a postgraduate scientific or medical qualification started to bother me. I don’t have one. So I did 4 things – 1) decided not to enter (there was no choice because as everyone knows, nobody really knows anything until they get a piece of paper saying they know something), 2) felt free of restrictive rules and able to modify my entries from 4 to a more satisfying 6 (with one entry having two parts – each of exactly 100 words), 3) changed the font from ScriptMedical’s required Times New Roman to my preferred Arial, and 4) submitted it to vixra. So please enjoy these 6 “mini epics” regarding the shape of the universe, unified field theory, gravitation that attracts and repels, evolution and synthetic biology, travel that’s unlimited in space or time, plus 3D printers ending the global financial crisis.

Are the Graviton, the Inflaton, and the Axion the Only Fundamental Particles that Remain to be Discovered?

Authors: David Brown

What is measurement and why does it exist? Measurement might be the natural process that separates the boundary of the multiverse from the interior of the multiverse. Measurement might exist because there is a 26-dimensional model for bosonic string theory. What might be the empirical predictions of string theory? Wolfram suggested that nature has a model consisting of 4 or 5 simple rules that define a finite automaton — if Wolfram’s idea is correct then string theory might be the intermediary between the automaton and the automaton’s predictions. Mathematical considerations indicate that some form of string theory is nature’s way of unifying quantum field theory and general relativity theory. There might be 3 basic possibilities for nature’s fundamental model: (1) string theory with the infinite nature hypothesis, implying the string landscape, superpartners, and eternal cosmological inflation; (2) string theory with the finite nature hypothesis, implying the Fernández-Rañada-Milgrom effect, the Space Roar Profile Prediction, and the existence of a modified Standard Model with precisely 64 fundamental particles; or (3) string theory replaced by a much more complicated generalization of string theory, implying the existence of dark energy stars or other unknown phenomena. This communication suggests an approach to Wolfram’s automaton and possible implications.

Prime Numbers and the Structures of the Universe of Codes

Authors: Andrea Gregori

We discuss how, within the framework of a previously introduced theoretical scenario proposing the equivalence of the physical quantum relativistic universe and the universe of logical/numerical codes, prime numbers play a key role as base blocks of physical structures. They constitute a kind of ``free states'' of a representation of physics alternative to the usual field-theoretical one, based on plane waves. As such, they can be useful in addressing problems which in the traditional approach are difficult to solve, or even to phrase. In particular, we discuss the relation between the scaling of certain physical quantities, and the distribution of prime numbers.

Is the Space Roar an Essential Clue for Quantum Gravity?

Authors: David Brown

Is the space roar an essential clue for understanding dark energy, dark matter, and the inflaton field? Is there a quantum theory of gravity that explains dark energy and dark matter in a convincing way? Are dark energy, the inflaton field, dark matter, and the space roar closely related natural phenomena? What is the explanation for the space roar? Does the space roar represent new physics or does it have some more mundane explanation? What are the implications of the space roar for string theory and supersymmetry? Do superpartners occur in nature if and only if nature is infinite? Are there decisive empirical tests for the finite nature hypothesis? Does M-theory have a satisfactory computational method if and only nature is finite? Do the monster group and the 6 pariah groups enable M-theory to have a computational method? If X is to string theory as Kepler’s laws are to Newtonian mechanics then what is X? Is Milgrom the Kepler of contemporary cosmology?

Gravity Cannot be Quantized

Authors: Mario Everaldo de Souza

Besides the common difficulties for gravity quantization, this work shows that the gravitational fermion associated to the gravitational field cannot exist. Consequently, the graviton cannot exist either. Therefore, gravity cannot be quantized.

Couplings in the Deep Infrared Limit from M-Theory Does One Numerical Formula Deserve the Benefit of the Doubt?

Authors: Amir Mulic

In this note, we preliminarily discuss the possibility that the expression \alpha_{em}^{-1}=4\pi^{3}+\pi^{2}+\pi has a physical interpretation and can even be helpful in model building. If one interprets this expression in terms of the volumes of l_{p} - sized three-cycles on G_{2} holonomy manifolds and requires that it also comprises effects of the running of the coupling, one can obtain the desired value, but only in a setup which is clearly different from the standard model of particle physics (SM). An understanding of the nature of the link between such putative model and SM is needed. Studying this issue could possibly shed some light on existing problems in model building within string theory (ST), particularly the hierarchy problem. Numerological “success”, which can be achieved if one interprets the formula in terms of volumes of three-cycles on the compactification manifold, as we intend to do here, cannot change the fact that discussion in this note represents merely a heuristic estimate of the feasibility of further research in a certain direction.

Deep Inelastic Gedanken Scattering off Black Holes

Authors: Risto Raitio
Comments: 5 Pages. Partly rewritten. References added.

We propose a model of quark and lepton subconstituents which extends the Standard Model of particles to the Planck scale and beyond. We perform a Gedanken experiment by scattering a probe deep inside a mini black hole. We assume the result is that at the core of the hole there is a spin 1/2 (or 0) constituent field, grayon, in Minkowski space. The grayon is proposed to replace the singularity of the hole. The grayon interactions are assumed to provide bound states of three grayons which form the quarks and leptons.
